In 2020, I took a day trip and traveled to Emmitsburg, MD for a photoshoot of the town and the nearby Catholic shrine. In visiting The National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, I wandered into the historic cemetery. This building is in the middle of that cemetery. The symmetry of the building stood out to me in addition to the cross atop the steeple. Often in praise of Christ, one may cry out, “Hosanna in the highest!” like the crowds in Jerusalem which is recorded in Mark 11:9-10. The word “hosanna” from the Aramaic “osha’na” literally means “save.” Christ is the savior of the world through His atonement for mankind’s sins against God to pay the debt that we can never pay. Thanks be to God for grace through faith in Christ.
